        updated - February 4, 2010

THE WAIT IS ALMOST OVER!!!

The 2008/2009 season compilation of waterfowling with the FD crew is scheduled for landing in mid-Spring!

Insomnia gives an inside look at waterfowling with the Feather Duster crew as they travel to 5 states in the early, regular and late seasons.  This is up-close, blue collar, in-your-face footage from a group of guys who eat, sleep and breathe waterfowling.

This video teaches the methods we use to consistently put birds in the fryin' pan as well as WHY we do what we do in regards to calling, decoy placement and scouting.

So be prepared to not only be entertained but educated as well.

The Feather Duster Competition Calls

You talked, we listened.  We received A TON of feedback from you, our customers, about how much you loved our goose and duck calls.  With all that support, we decided to take it to the next level and true to form, we delivered.  Introducing the competition line of Feather Duster Calls.  The first call released is our competition goose call.  It features the new Feather Duster logo laser engraved on the call, shorter design to make it respond quicker to air pressure changes and the brand new custom designed FD guts give it unmatched range from top to bottom.  It is available in either all acrylic or cocobola mouth piece with an acrylic insert.

About our calls...

What makes this goose call different? The length of the goose call in combination with the gut system allows for moderate backpressure for the call to break. This equates to the user being able to learn and master the call easily. This call can hit all of the high hail calls and comeback calls while still getting really low and guttoral for moans and laydown sounds. The volume of this goose call is unmatched. The custom shaved reed design and hand tuning of every goose call allows for maximum volume and pitch without compromising the overall range of the call. The "barrel groove" provides a good guide for beginners as a starting point for the placement of the "on" hand (which is the hand that holds the call). The finished dymondwood gives the look of a call twice it's price.

The Feather Duster Goose Call is a short reed dymondwood/acrylic call, built to last through the toughest of elements and perform day in and day out. The guts are custom made and have unmatched range, tone, pitch and volume while still retaining the element of an easy to learn goose call.  It's a meat call from top to bottom. The Feather Duster "Hybrid" Duck Call is a unique double reed duck call  that can get low and raspy but can ring on the high end like a single reed duck call - it's the best of both worlds.  The dymondwood construction gives the look of a call worth twice the price.
